I've revamped an old chest of drawers, "cartoon style" for my daughter's bedroom. Sanded it all back then applied paint. I mixed "mark out spray paint" and white poster paint together in a tray then painted it on. 3 coats. Used acrylic paint for the black edges, and permanent marker and laundry marker for the cartoon details. What can I apply as a protective coat that won't make the paint run and will have a matte finish?
Hi @NextVine,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fabulous to have you join us.
Wow, what a fantastic project, I love what you've done.
I'd suggest you spray it with Dulux Duramax Matt Clear Coat Spray Paint to finish it off and put the cherry on top of a fantastic project.
Please remember to wear the relevant personal protective equipment when spray painting, specifically a mask or respirator.

Let me know what you think, and please share the finished project, I'd love to see how it comes up.

Thanks Jacob! I will try the clear coat spray paint 😊
I followed your advice, went with the Duromax Matt clear spray. Did three thin coats.l, 60 minutes apart. Colours didn't run. It's turned out pretty damn good!
Hi @NextVine,
It's come up brilliantly.
I'm glad I could assist you in putting that final touch on an already fantastic project.
If you have any future projects, please don't hesitate to share.
