How to make a freestanding wire mesh panel?

Using this mesh wire panel, I want to attach something to the bottom of it, to act as its feet/stand.

I can’t find anything at Bunnings to do this, but hopefully someone here knows of something.

I’ve found this in an online store (the full length option), but was hoping Bunnings would have something.

Re: trying to make a freestanding wire mesh panel

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @glassartstuff. It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about mounting wire mesh.

I would imagine the panel won't be very rigid if only mounted at the bottom; it might flop around a bit. A simple stand could be created with two sections of 90 x 45mm Pine that have a slot cut in them the same width as the thickness of the panel. The sections would be placed on the ground, and the panel would be slotted into the cut. That would create a couple of feet.

Alternatively, what would be a more robust solution would be to create a frame that the wire mesh is attached to. I've created the below rendering for you to illustrate.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
