How to install curtains on concrete wall?

Hi!

I am trying to put some curtains along my laundry door - previously they had placed vertical blinds on the plasterboard ceiling which has broken through and needs to be replaced. I have a stretch wire I am using for some lace curtains, but the wall it needs to connect on is concrete / brick. I have these small hooks that it came with and screw into the wire, but they are very small and I can not find a wall plug small enough or an anchor hook as small as this. Is there any suggestions?

Re: How to install curtains on concrete wall?

Hi @tam5964,

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Without knowing the diameter of the screw hooks, I imagine you would be fine using the 5mm plugs included in this STAHL Masonry Kit 5mm Drill With 35mm White Wall Plugs. Just use a hammer drill with the provided drill bit, drill out a pilot hole, tap the plug in then screw in your hook.

If you are not confident that this will work for you, I'd suggest using larger plugs and larger hooks. You can use this STAHL Masonry Kit 7mm Drill With 25mm Green Wall Plugs with these Everhang 12mm Zinc Plated Screw Eye Hooks.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
