Hi @PatDIY_Dad
I had an extended look and there are no bar extensions that will fit the tri-angular piece that you have. My only other suggestion is to look into your stainless-steel socket set, you might be able to attach a socket extension to the hole cutter. The only issue will be will it fit the head of your cordless drill.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Nailbag for their recommendaiotns.

Morning @PatDIY_Dad
I just had a look at my el-cheapo.
Remove the nut - reveals a grub screw.
Loosen and replace with a longer bit.
I measured 5.5 mm diameter.
The catch is there is a milled flat surface on the original - but the screw does hold the un-milled bit well.
Worth a try?
But I don't understand why the need for longer drill bit?
Cheers.
Morning @PatDIY_Dad
I am a little like @Noyade not sure which you are wanting. A longer drillbit or a longer shaft for the holesaw?
I was just having a look at extension bars for drills and was wondering if you could sidestep the issue by buying an extension bar plus a holesaw that fits it? Sometimes the answer costs a bit more but better to do it with the right tools then struggle trying to make something else fit. And yeah I am always trying to make tools work outside their meant for use

With a beer in hand reviewing this thread after a hot day, I realise now I have completely misunderstood your request @PatDIY_Dad.
You don't want a longer drill bit - you want to extend the mandrel shaft. Like being able to drill into the ceiling with your feet on the floor.
A quick Google reveals this...
https://lsc.com.au/morris-long-drills-hole-saw-arbor-2000mm-ehs2000
But I think if you have to 'apply' for a price and be told it's a special order with "no refunds" we're talking big dollars.
If you're interested, I'm more than happy to weld a length of 9mm (matches the mandrel shaft) rod to my mandrel and post it to you.
I guess it depends on what length you need.
I have no use for it.
Let me know.
Cheers.
