DIY bookshelf and roller storage
Half way through organising my kids playroom. Like every year after the Christmas joy has worn off we are left with the task of wondering where to put their new added collection of toys and Knick knacks. To try and continue our Industrial, wooden theme I have built a bookshelf with 2 matching side tables including roller storage underneath. Converted shelving units I had for the roller storage by adding castors and flipping onto their backs.
Thanks to Bunnings I used their oak shelving from the Flexi storage range for the bookshelf. Plus I found the perfect floorboards (cheap $27 a box) to use for the table tops. For the bookshelf framing I used dressed pine and left over untreated structural timber for the table frame - both spray painted gloss black.
