The Bunnings Workshop community can help with your home improvement projects.
Bikes and scooters need plenty of storage space, particularly with accessories such as helmets, pumps and chargers.
Fortunately, Bunnings Workshop community members have come up with some great ideas for storing bicycles and scooters and keeping your garage clutter-free.
1. D.I.Y. portable bike stand by @Tara86
Experienced Bunnings Workshop community member Tara built this bike rack on casters in just a day and shared step-by-step instructions with the community. The rack makes it easy to store multiple bikes in a tight space.
2. Bike and scooter rack with helmet storage by @LePallet
Sick of equipment gathering around his home’s front entrance, experienced community member Rylie used recycled timber to construct a practical stand for a small space next to the front door.
3. Side yard bike shelter by @weekenddiyer
Combining a storage shelter with a new side path meant the weekenddiyer family used their bikes more often. The bike shed features polycarbonate roofing behind the lattice and perspex roof to protect them from the elements.
4. D.I.Y. portable bike stand by @Pklebano
With multiple bikes stored in a small workshop, community member Pklebano decided a wheel-out rack could solve the problem of having to pull out each bike separately every time. The rack was constructed using recycled handles, fence pickets and chequered plate.
5. Hanging bikes from garage brick wall by @mattylara027
Using the wall to hang your bike ensures more floorspace in your garage or shed. Bunnings Workshop member Matty asked for suggestions on how to secure bolts into his garage brick wall, and was thrilled with the end result.
The Bunnings team has also shared step-by-step guides How to make a D.I.Y. bike rack, How to build a multiple bike rack and How to hang a bike.
