Hi!!
Purchased a second hand wicker dining set for outdoors and part of the table frame came apart and was very brittle. So decided to take the whole thing apart by removing the wicker pieces from the table frame. Only to find out there are small nails on the table frame to keep wicker pieces in place. Now I have a table frame with pieces of nails sticking out (the U shape nails.)
Is there any way I can add some kind of covering or wrap to the frame that is durable and looks good? Rather than shave the nails down and paint?
would appreciate suggestions. Thank you!
Morning @april101
I had thought it was timber, metal frame wont distort anywhere near as much so possibly you wont nee dto be worried, Id still keep an eye out on it wanting to bend tho. I wouldnt be adding Gorilla glue.
I was thinking of cane for the strapping but not sure how well it would work as in attachment points and cornering.
