Iv just inherited an old wagon wheel from my grandfather. Back when I was a kid he used to have it out the front of his house because ppl kept missing his driveway and it was always the first thing we'd see when going to his house. He had done a pretty good job of restoring it already but I would like to make sure it stays in the best condition it can. I don't really have anywhere to put it undercover and would really like to keep it in the best condition I can.
Hello @dopeassmonkey
Thank you for sharing your question about your wagon wheel, which by the way looks fantastic. I suggest building a square standing frame from 90x90 fence posts and hanging the wheel inside the frame with steel chains. I then propose building a small roofing structure that will protect the frame and wagon wheel from the weather. It is possible to add side panels to the frame for more protection, but it will then make the wagon wheel difficult to see or rather it will only become fully visible if you are almost in front of it.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1, @Nailbag and @JoeAzza for their recommendations.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

That's a very good idea i quite like the thought of it hanging off chains while being protected
Evening @dopeassmonkey
I was going to suggest under the house eves but actually think @EricL's suggestion will look nicer but a fair amount.
Your wheel reminds me of my grandmas wheel that was on top of a post to support a draping rose bush
Nice work in restoring it
Dave
I think @EricL idea is ideal and will make it a great talking point feature. I would recommend giving a couple of coat of this Cabots product to ensure maximum protection against the elements.
