What paver sealer I should apply to increase hardness of the surface?
Hello.
I am not sure what kind of stone my driveway paver is. It looks like flagstone or sandstone. I thought I need to apply sealer to increase its surface hardness. Otherwise, it tends to break as it's on driveway.
Could someone please give me advice?
Thanks in advance.

Re: What paver sealer I should apply to increase hardness of the surface
Hi @Eric_2025,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
A flagstone is a type of cut stone that can be used to describe a variety of different types of stone. Looking at the laminar (layered) nature of the pavers, I suspect they are either shale or slate.
There are sealers such as this Crommelin Natural DiamondCoat Slate And Stone Sealer that can be used, however, you will need to thoroughly clean the stones and replace any severely fractured ones like the one in the centre of your picture.
This will offer protection for the intact stones, but it will not fix the broken ones.
Let me know what you think, and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
