I would like to know how i can repair this capping on top of the brick pillar.
Thanks
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Charmaine3. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a stone capping.
The sandstone or manufactured stone capping is heavily weathered and disintegrating. For surface-level wear, any loose material should be removed, and a stone sealer can be applied to protect the existing material from further deterioration. However, as the capping is crumbling significantly, it may be best to replace it.
Since the material is disintegrating, there's no way to physically repair it. The best you might be able to do is inhibit the process and extend the life of it with a sealer. Replacing is ultimately going to be the best solution.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
