Hey

Just wondering what ideas anyone had for this stormwater pit, need to raise it to atleast 400-500mm

that’s from the top of the pit/grate

that will allow for 100mm soil and pavers or crushed rock

i thought an extra storm water pit onto the lip of the grate/grooves fixed in to bring up 400mm-500mm

or 4post retaining wall boxed around it

obviously will speak to council aswell about approvals

thank you

Re: How to raise stormwater pit?

Hello @jarrodpink

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about extending your storm water pit.

In this particular situation, I suggest engaging the services of a local registered plumber. They will be aware of the rules and regulations regarding the modification of your storm water pit.

As to what materials can be used will depend on the current council regulations. However, there is an option from Everhard called the Stormwater pit riser. These risers need to be specially ordered at the special orders desk. I suggest showing this option to your plumber and asking them if it is applicable to your situation.

I've placed an image below with its specifications, I suggest measuring your current pit and see if these extenders will work with what you have.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
