Hi,
Have had a fence + gate installed. Gate has a metal frame (I assume fortress gates or similar) but it seems the tradies haven’t attached the ‘oil cap’ to the top of the bit of the gate that sits on the hinge pin. I can’t see that you can just separately buy the oil cap, so any ideas for a DIY way to get/make one?
Thanks!
Hello @slimjim
Thanks for sharing your question about the oil cap for the metal gate frame. I suggest having a look at the Rubber Chair tips that the store carries. They come in multiple sizes, and they can be cut and trimmed with a craft knife. But before going in that direction, if you purchased that gate frame from the store, I suggest speaking to the team at the special orders desk and asking them if the cap can be ordered as a spare part. If it can be ordered as a spare part, it would save you from having to build one from other parts.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
