How to fix a hinge off the wooden frame?
March 2024
Hi
How to fix a gate hinge that has come off the frame as pictured? The holes are larger and will need refilling before i can reattach.
Thanks

Hi @NumeroUno,
Looking at the size of those holes, I suspect it would be best to drill them out with a Sutton Tools 9.5mm Viper Jobber Drill Bit to a depth of 30mm and then glue in 30mm sections of Boyle 915 x 9.5 x 9.5mm Hobby Wood Dowel into the holes. Once the glue has dried, you'll be able to predrill the dowels to accept your hinge fixing screws.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
