Hello all!
I want to DIY install a fly screen- it doesn’t have to be too fancy, just good enough to keep the insects away. Based on the photos of the door, what options do I have?

the dimensions are approximately 225 x 80 mm

Re: DIY flyscreen for a door

Hi @roroz,

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.

The only great option I can think of is to install an inward-opening screen door. Unfortunately, due to the height of the opening, you'll have to have a custom-sized door made up. There is this Cowdroy Custom Made Birchgrove Grille Barrier Door, or this Cowdroy Custom Made Superior Barrier Door that can be made to fit the opening.

There are also magnetic fly screen kits, however, none of them are tall enough to cover the opening. Perhaps you could make your own using the Permastik 12mm x 5m Magnetic Tape, and your choice of flyscreen.

Let me know what you think.

Jacob
