How much will a diy deck cost?
We are wanting to build a deck ourselves using SpecRite 90 x 19mm Merbau Decking onto H3 timbers and wanting to know what the approx price per square metre would be?
Will possibly be a floating deck but may be fixed unsure as waiting to hear back from landlord.
Thanks!

Re: How much will a diy deck cost?
Should add- this is the area we are planning to do it, unsure of measurements hence wanting to know approx price per square metre. We are hoping to be able to cement the deck in to keep it long lasting but as said earlier waiting to hear from landlord to what they would prefer

Re: How much will a diy deck cost?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @emileewatt. It's wonderful to have you join us and many thanks for your question about the cost of a deck.
As a very rough approximation, you'll need 11 L/m of 90mm Merbau decking, five lengths of 90 x 45mm H3 treated Pine timber, four decking feet and 64 screws. The total for these would come to around $152 for the square metre of decking. However, I'd encourage you to design your deck with the appropriate measurements to get a more accurate costage.
I've created the below rendering to give you a better idea of what the structure will look like.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
