Concrete A Gap Between Fence & Concrete Paving

Looking for advice need to fill a gap between a boundary fence and concrete. Should I use concrete with oxide coloring to try to match existing concrete or use compacted sand. Preference is to concrete to stop weeds and can then be washed regularly clean. How do I concrete. Gravel then concrete ?  Thanks in advance. Anthony.

Re: Concrete A Gap Between Fence & Concrete Paving

Hello @Allie1970 (Anthony)

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about concreting a gap in your fence.

I suggest digging out the soil to at least 50mm deep and tamping it with a brick to compact the soil. Once you've created the channel, I propose using Bastion 20kg Premix Concrete. This is premixed concrete and all you need to do is to add water. You can colour it if you wish by adding Dulux Avista Oxide 1kg Sandstone Cement Colouring. Use a trowel to fill the channel with concrete and level the surface to the same level as the existing concrete.

Please remember to wear personal protection such as gloves, goggles and a mask when mixing and handling concrete.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
