Advice on how to seal concrete outside path and garden stairs (approx. 1 year old).

Hi,

I am wondering best products you could recommend to prepare and seal our concrete path and stairs which are approx. 1 year old. Getting tired of the dust being walked into the house

Thanks for your help.

Hi @Gchip,

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.

You have quite a few options in terms of sealer. There are paints, tinted sealers and basic clear coat sealers. They will all have the desired effect of reducing the dust, but they all have different aesthetics which you would need to consider.

You can use paint such as the range of Dulux Concrete and Paving Paints which can be tinted to a wide variety of colours and comes in a variety of different finishes. Check out Dulux Concrete & Paving Range for some further information on the available products.

There are also coloured sealers such as the Dulux Avista Charcoal Coloured Concrete Sealer which is similar to the above paint but requires fewer steps. Check out Dulux Avista Concrete Floor Products for further information.

You could also use a clear concrete sealer such as this Bastion Matte Concrete Sealer or Crommelin Water Based Concrete And Paving Sealer. These are more basic options, but they will still have the desired effect and will enhance the look of the concrete.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
