Just finished my second furniture upcycle! I found this buffet on the side of the road dumped and a little worse for wear. I believed it had good bones though and when cleaned up and it's bits were put back together, it proved me right.
So I cleaned, sanded, painted and sealed with a gloss. I also lined the drawers with the chevron pattern wallpaper available at Bunnings (ok everything is from Bunnings!).
My brush technique still needs work but I saved this piece from landfill and now it will be used and loved.
My painting skills will get better - I keep telling myself 'Practice and tomorrow you'll be better than today!'
Looks great! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you! I'm still learning.
Well done @DanaR and many thanks for sharing. We've featured your handiwork on our Project Gallery as we're sure it will inspire other Workshop community members.
Looking forward to seeing what you tackle next.

Wow thank you!
@rubytuesday1953 Well done. Looks damn fine to me. I did almost exactly the same. The before one is not exactly the same unit, just used for comparison. I love during up old furniture
That looks awesome! Redoing furniture is addictive. I'm already doing a new piece with the next one lined up! I love the backing you've used. Is it wallpaper?
I know !!!! DanaR. I'm on about my 6th I think. It's contact (from Bunnings of course). It's very rarely seen, but I know it's there. Here's my latest one for the laundry when I reno it soon @rubytuesday1953
Lovely projects @DanaR and @rubytuesday1953.
Have you seen the upcycled hutch in the latest episode of the Make It Happen series? Might inspire your next projects.
