Usually I am able to replace a simple door lock. However this one looks different. After I remove the door knob, I could see copper-coloured internal part. I don't know how to remove the whole door lock from the door.
What kind of door knob set is suitable for replacement?
Hi @Makita,
The next step would be to unscrew the cover plate. It will unscrew anticlockwise, but first, you'll likely need to run a utility knife around its perimeter to break the painted seal with the door. Once the cover plate is removed, it will expose some internal screws and allow you to continue the removal process.
Please remember your PPE, including gloves and safety glasses and always cut away from your hands.
That's a standard entrance knobset, and the vast majority of them will be compatible.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
