Hi @trio,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
To remove water stains from sealed vinyl flooring, start with a mild cleaning solution. Mix a few drops of dish soap such as Morning Fresh 900ml Lemon Dishwashing Liquid with warm water, and use a soft cloth or sponge to gently clean the stained area. Rinse with clean water and dry the surface thoroughly with a towel.
Cleaning vinegar is another effective option for removing water stains. Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle, then lightly spray the stained area. Let it sit for a few minutes before wiping it off with a microfiber cloth. Rinse the area with water and dry it completely.
Baking soda paste can also help lift water stains from sealed vinyl. Combine baking soda and water to form a paste, then apply it to the stain. Gently rub the area with a soft cloth, rinse with water, and dry thoroughly. This method is gentle on the vinyl while being effective against stubborn stains.
Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, as they can damage the vinyl’s finish. If stains persist after trying these methods, consider consulting a professional cleaner who specializes in vinyl flooring to ensure the stain is removed safely without harming the sealed surface.
