Re: How to remove stain on timber floorboards?
Hi @RohanGill,
It looks like the varnish on your flooring
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Are you aware of what caused the stain?
It looks like there's a line on the right side of the stain that makes me suspect something has pooled there. Possibly water or a cleaning chemical of some sort.
The next question I have is are you aware of what type of flooring was used?
It looks like timber but there's a chance it is a timber-look flooring product like Laminate Flooring or Hybrid Flooring. Understanding what type of flooring you have will help guide our approach.
The first thing I'd suggest is to use a light abrasive pad like these Scotch-Brite Non-Scratch Scourer Pads to see if you can remove the stain with some light scrubbing. Pick a small test section, apply some water and lightly scrub the stain in a circular motion. If you have some success, you can then move on to a larger section.
I'm wary of offering further suggestions before I have more information, so once you've gotten back to us, I'd be happy to offer further assistance.
Let me know what you think.
Jacob
