Re: Baseboard Damage
Hi @susan9120
Not too had to fix. Sand off the rough edges.
I like filling things like that with
Gyprock CSR 2.25kg Less Mess Multi-Purpose Joint Compound
It Is easy to fill the damaged area with the compound and Easy sanding , just fill the hole and smooth it that and when it is dry sand the area flat to match the base board shape. You won't get it perfect first go so just add some more compound paste smooth it again with a flat spatular
Sand off the lumpy bits and fill the low bits until your happy with the repair and paint it if you have the right paint colour or save the painting for your next future reno.
Ps the compound will crack a bit but it is ok just fill over the top it will be golden.

Re: Baseboard Damage
Hi @susan9120,
To repair the damaged skirting board, a good solution is to use Builder's Bog. Start by cleaning the area around the damage to remove any dust, dirt, or loose debris. Then, using a putty knife, apply the Builder's Bog to the damaged corner, pressing it into the crushed area to rebuild the shape. Be generous with the filler, as it will shrink slightly as it dries.
Once the Builder's Bog has dried, sand the repair smooth and into the correct shape using fine sandpaper or a sanding block. Take your time with this step to ensure a neat finish. After sanding, apply an undercoat to the repaired section to help the paint adhere and cover the repair. Finally, paint the baseboard to match the rest of the room, applying a few coats as needed and allowing time for the paint to dry between each coat.
This method should restore the damaged corner and make it look as good as new without needing to replace the entire baseboard.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
