Together my partner and I designed and made over our first baby's nursery room. We love to DIY and live in between 3 local Bunnings stores, which is super handy! I designed this accent wall using Bunnings molding and superfresco easy paintable textured beadbord wallpaper. I'm so happy with how this wall turned out! It just gives the room a lively fun feature. My partner with his tradie skills assembled the wall and the paint colour we used was called olive spring. Our baby's name on the wall was also something we hand crafted with a sheet of MDF board, jigsaw and lots of hand sanding! The dresser was an old plain white set of draws which we refurbished to match the feature wall. The baby mobile and wall decor are all items I made myself. And lastly the wall sconce lights are another feature we hand made using items from Bunnings including, wall mounted Carinya Natural pine brackets and battery operated down lights!
Overall it was a time consuming task but very happy with the outcome.
Thank god for Bunnings

I am really loving your colour scheme and all the personal details. Was it hard to cut the MDF to create the sign? Any advice for someone looking to create a lovely nursey like yours?
Katie
Hi Katie
Thank you for the feedback!
Yes it was a little difficult cutting the MDF board with a jigsaw. Getting nice and rounded curves was not easy. The hand sanding is what took the most work, a few hours to get all around the curves and to round off sharp corners. It wasn't difficult hand sanding but it was time consuming!
Thanks
Naz
