Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, @sujata. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about fixing a burn mark on a laminate benchtop.
Burn marks on laminate can be tricky to address, as the damage usually penetrates the surface. Unfortunately, there’s no quick fix for this issue, but you can try reducing the appearance of the burn. A gentle sanding with fine-grit sandpaper can smooth the area, and then you could apply a colour-matched paint to blend the mark with the surrounding benchtop. While this won’t completely remove the burn, it can make it much less noticeable.
If the burn mark is more severe and this method doesn't give you the result you're after, painting the entire benchtop could be a more effective solution. There are specialist paints available for laminates such as the Dulux Renovation range that can provide a fresh, updated look and cover any imperfections like burn marks.
