How to seal Formica kitchen bench and fix cracks?
I have a 1980’s Formica benchtop. It has a few cracks and some seams.
I would like to seal the seams and fix the cracks. I’m happy with the colour generally so don’t want to paint it.
what could I do to repair and restore the benchtop, making sure the seams are watertight?
Note I’m in New Zealand so will be limited to what I can buy here.

Re: How to seal Formica kitchen bench and fix cracks?
Hello @faceleg
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about painting your Formica top.
I'm currently unaware of a single coat Formica clear sealer that you can use on your benchtop. However, the White Knight Renew will allow you to paint the surface of the laminate and then you can apply the White Knight® Bench Top Protective Coating (special order) which is a clear sealer. The White Knight Renew primer is the key to getting the paint to stay on the Formica surface. Without this primer nothing will stay very long on the Formica surface.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Thanks, I ended up using Novoryt wax which worked really well.
