How to laminate a wooden table?
I have an old square wooden table (180cm x 80 approx), what will be the cost to laminate (marbel looks) or paint it?

Re: Laminating wooden table
Hello @Kamar
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about either laminating or painting your table.
Between the two options, painting it would be the more affordable method and produce less waste. A standard laminate sheet on the other hand is generally 3000mm x 1200mm. Almost 1/3 of the sheet would be wasted and unusable.
For example, a single can of paint such as British Paints 4L Clean And Protect White Low Sheen will be more than enough to cover your table and chairs. Plus, you'll have some left to fix any mistakes or damage that might occur while its drying. Whereas a single laminate sheet will cost you approximately 5 times as much and you would still have to paint your chairs.
I suggest having a look at these amazing upcycled projects our Workshop members have shared:

Re: How to laminate a wooden table?
What a lovely table @Kamar Is is solid wood? If so I would be inclined to sand the top and stain in, finishing with a poly or using a stain and varnish.
It would last longer and look great. You could paint the legs and chairs.
Just a thought, good luck
