How to fix non-compliant plumbing with corrugated flex pipe?

Hello everyone,

I am beginner of DIY, recently I got a report saying that my kitchen plumbing is not compliant.

Not sure what should I do and which part would be the suitable replacement.

This is the report message from professional inspector.

Plumbing is non-compliant with the use of corrugated flex pipe.
The connection between the bottom of the waste and the corrugated flex pipe appears to be using silicon which is also non-compliant

Hello @nonamehaha

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your plumbing.

In this particular situation, I suggest engaging the services of a registered plumber. I'm afraid a great deal of adjustment will have to be carried out in order for the under-sink plumbing to be compliant.

The plumber will either have to adjust the exit pipe from the outside so that it is lower than your sink or the plumbing underneath will have to be reconfigured so that it is higher to allow a trap to be installed. In either case it's not something that can be easily remedied with a single part.

My best advice is to get at least three quotes for the repair so that you'll have an idea of what the going rate is for your area.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
