Re: Bosch dishwasher water hose connection
Hi @elsybel
To my mind each dish wash comes with its own hose so that new hose just needs to snake in and connect normally under the sink to a fairly universal connection.
What you are doing here looks like you kept to old dish washer hose connected the the under sink and are trying to marry the new dish washer hose to it?
But both those fittings are 25 mm connectons Female with rubber compression washer inside.
So this Brass 25mm
Will join the two pipes. no plumbers tape needed, tighten fittings to firm, but stop there as over tight will warp the sealing washers.

Re: Bosch dishwasher water hose connection
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @elsybel. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about dishwasher connections.
The connection for your Bosch dishwasher's water inlet hose should be a standard size, but it sounds like you're dealing with a slight difference in fittings. If you're measuring the outside of the existing fitting, it’s important to note that the new Bosch fitting has a copper threaded insert and a larger plastic exterior, so you need to measure the inside threaded section for the correct size, which should be around 25mm as @Jewelleryrescue mentioned.
I recommend using a tape measure to check the inner diameter of the threaded section of both the old and new fittings to see if they align. If they’re similar, try installing the new fitting and see how it goes. How far off is it? If there's a noticeable difference, you might need an adaptor.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
