You might like to post some images of the benchtop so our members have a better idea of the extent of the stains. Also, do you happen to know what has caused these stains? Once they see how bad they are, they'll be much better placed to offer helpful advice. Let me know if you need a hand uploading images.
You might like to try some Hillmark 375ml Stone Kleen And Protect Marble Granite Cleaner, but it's more of a general-purpose cleaner and not one specifically designed for stains. If you happen to know who manufactured the benchtop they might have specific advice for their product and how to remove staining.
