I have a new wall oven that is smaller than previous and therefore there is a considerable gap once new wall oven fitted. What’s the best way to fix this?
Hello @Annette9
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's splendid to have you join us and thank you for sharing your question about fixing the gaps around your wall oven.
Congratulations on getting a new wall oven. Quite often new ovens are more compact and leave gaps in older wall oven cabinets. The options available to you are to either cut pine pieces that will fill the gaps and paint them in the same colour as your current wall cabinet or remove the current oven filler and cut a new one to the size of your new oven.
I also suggest having a look at your oven installation manual and see if your oven needs to be on timber footing instead of just sitting on a flat shelf. In order to get a colour sample that is close to your current cabinet colour. I recommend bringing a kitchen door to the paint department so that they scan the colour and provide you with a paint colour match you can use on the new oven gap filler.
