How can I disassemble the glass from a mini fridge door?
Hi, I am wanting to up-cycle a mini fridge glass door to use the glass for a display cabinet. My issue is I am not sure how to disassemble the metal frame from the glass.

Re: How can I disaseble the glass from a mini fridge door
Hello @Jess_B
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your glass door.
Please note that refrigerator glass doors are made from tempered glass. Incorrect handling and improper use of force will shatter the glass and cause injury. Please do not attempt to take the glass and steel apart as they are bonded together with a very strong adhesive.
However, one option you can explore is to bring the glass door to a glazier. They will be aware of the risk and dangers of taking the door apart.
In regards to your display cabinet, would it be possible for you to post a photo of the cabinet? This will give our members a better idea of what it looks like. We can then make recommendations on possible alternatives for your glass door.
Please make sure to wear personal protection such as gloves and goggles when handling the glass door.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
Eric
