Hi all,
We have just had 12 pencil pines planted in our side garden bed (see photo). Unfortunately during the planting some of pine's tops/crowns were injured/cut (see photo). We are wondering if this will limit the growth of these pines as we definitely need them to grow several meters tall
.
Hello @Sal15
Thanks for sharing your question about your pencil pine trees. Looking at the photos, it seems the trees are still quite young, and It looks like new shoots are already starting to sprout from that cut area. The tree should be able to recover from this cut and not greatly affect its growth. It would be a different scenario if the tree was already past your fence line and accidentally cut.
Let me call on our experienced members @Adam_W and @Noelle for their recommendations.
