What to test on new mower that won't start?

I purchased a new lawn mower - Ozito brushless on Monday. We unpacked it yesterday, fully charged the battery and when we tried, the mower won't start. Our friend has the same so he got his battery and it wouldn't work either. We plan to take it to Bunnings tonight. Can we try anything else before that?

Re: The new lawn mower does not start

Hi @krunalM_12,

We have quite a few brushless Ozito lawnmowers. Could you please let us know which one it is that you purchased?

If you've followed the start-up procedure as listed in your instruction manual, then there likely isn't much more that you could do. Ensure the battery is inserted correctly and that you are pressing any secondary buttons/levers required to start the machine. Often, they'll have a two-stage start mechanism.

Re: The new lawn mower does not start

Hello @krunalM_12

I have the exact same mower at home, and I've noticed that the battery slot for the mower is sometimes very snug. I suggest pushing your battery firmly into the slot until the battery locking clip gives you a positive "clicking" sound. Another thing to check is the "safety key", it sometimes is not pushed in deep enough to make contact, so firmly push the safety key as far as it will go. Please make sure to press the lock off button firmly before pulling the start lever.

If after doing these trouble shooting steps and the mower will still not start, please bring it back to the store for an assessment or an exchange.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
