What base for artificial turf?
Which one is better to use as a base for artificial turf? Should I use road base or metal dust or it better to use half of each on top of each other and compact it?

Re: Artificial Turf
Hi @Mdsyd,
Thank you for your question about base materials for artificial turf.
Either of these products will work, but I'd suggest using road base as it is a mix of different sized aggregates alongside rock dust which allows for greater compaction than the metal dust, which is usually just 10mm stones.
For best results, you might like to have a look at hiring a Small Compactor from your local store. This will speed up the compaction process and allow for a more even substrate.
You might also like to check out How To Prepare For Paving as the process is very similar.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
