I have a Ryobi 36V lawn mower that I bought at Bunnings 9 February 2022. It stopped completely while mowing and I thought that maybe the battery was dead. I put it on the charger but nothing happened. The light at the top of the charger is showing red. If I press the battery symbol on the battery itself all 4 notches show up green.
I'm not sure if the battery is defective or the charger. Either way it should last longer than this. Is it still under warranty? Can anything be done about it?
Hi @Mozza1,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
I'd suggest heading to your local store with your mower, battery and charger. The team will be able to assist with identifying the cause of the issue.
Ryobi battery tools are covered by a standard warranty period of 4 years, which can be extended by an additional 2 years with the registration of your tools. If the mower itself is the issue, then you will be covered by the warranty, assuming you still have the receipt.
If you no longer have the receipt, I'd suggest reaching out to the store of purchase and asking a manager for their assistance in tracking down the receipt.
Ryobi batteries and charges are covered by a 3-year warranty, so unfortunately, you would not be covered if the battery or charger is the issue.
Check out Ryobi's website for further details - Warranty.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
