Restored park bench
We added a Notting Hill inspired plaque to the park bench that Glen built using merbau palings and old cast iron ends.

Re: Restored Park Bench
Hello @LisasGarden
What a beautifully restored park bench. Were the timber slats at the correct width or did you have to cut them down? It's fantastic that you still had the cast iron ends, these things are usually the first to get thrown away when the timber on the chair has rotted. Did you consider using Ekodeck as an option? I'm sorry for the many questions, I'm sure our members would be keen to know the details of your build.
Again, thank you so much for sharing your project with us.

Re: Restored Park Bench
Thank you. Yes Glen had to cut them down, but next time will get the smaller lengths. We had actually thrown out some years ago but picked these up from a market, When lockdown is over we will be on the search for more! We love the timber and merbau is very resilient . Our decking is merbau and is around thirty years old and is still in great condition.
