The slots on the shaft look identical to those on the drill bits that come with the Ozito. However, Ozito does not make a clay spade (good for gardening work on clay soils). Do you think the shaft configuration may be identical to all hammer drill bits? Thank you.
Picture shows "TOOVEM SDS Max Clay spade. Makita and other hammer drills also all feature the "SDS" characteristic. Would any other adapter be needed in this case?
Hi @maync,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Unfortunately, SDS max bits are not directly compatible with the Ozito 1500W 5J Rotary Hammer Drill Kit RHD-1550, which accepts SDS and SDS+ bits.
Our friends at Tool Kit Depot sell this SDS Max Type Shank, Snap Lock Adaptor To Suit SDS Plus Drill Bits which would make this bit usable with your tool. This is certainly an option, but being more expensive than your hammer drill, may not be the best option.
The length and design are not exactly the same, but this Kango 75mm x 170mm SDS Plus Angled Tiling Chisel will work with your drill and will function much the same.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Jacob
Thank you for your reply. I understand that and have changed my mind. After all, a spade and small auger will do as the seedlings are not big enough to require all that input. Many thanks, again, for your reply. I learned something.
