Re: How to treat caterpillars on basil?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @dclunes. It's marvellous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about killing caterpillars.
You can use Dipel to control the caterpillars on your basil. Dipel is a natural, biological insecticide that contains Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt), a bacteria that specifically targets caterpillars. Once ingested, it stops them from feeding and they die within a few days.
To effectively manage the infestation, spray both the top and underside of the leaves, as caterpillars and eggs can be hiding underneath. Since new eggs will continue to hatch, repeat the treatment weekly to ensure all caterpillars are eliminated.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
