Hi there! I have been away for 4 weeks unfortunately the Perth summer has completely killed my buffalo lawn, for someone with not much experience or tools, what is the best way to attempt to revive this baron wasteland? Thanks in advance!!
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Jessicaboath. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about reviving a buffalo lawn.
It looks like your buffalo lawn has suffered significantly due to the lack of water during the past few weeks, but don’t worry—buffalo grass is quite resilient and may recover with the right care. Start by giving your lawn a deep and thorough watering to rehydrate the soil and encourage regrowth. Water early in the morning and continue to do so consistently every few days to allow the roots to recover. Additionally, applying a product like Seasol will help stimulate root development and improve the grass’s overall health. Follow the instructions on the product for proper dilution and application, and spray it evenly across the lawn. With regular watering and a bit of patience, you might see new growth appear in the coming weeks.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
