Hi Guys,
I need help to fix my backyard as the level of it is so bad causing water pooling on one side.
I hired a landscaper to do my backyard landscaping last year (artificial turf, pebbles path and garden bed).
Unfortunately I think the preparation is not that good as the backyard is not level properly.
I want to fix the level and redirect to water to my 2 storm drainage.
Do I just need to pull out the artifical turf and top it up with blue metal dust, compact and level it or so I need to do more steps?
Appreaciate your help with this. 🙏🏼
Hi @Rhyan,
Thank you for your question about levelling your backyard artificial grass.
What you've said about lifting the artificial grass, adding compactable material, compacting it and levelling/creating fall towards the drain and then relaying the turf is pretty much it.
You might like to check out How To Prepare And Lay a Base For Pavers as the process is the same.
For an area of this size, it is definitely worth hiring a Plate Compactor to make the process quicker and easier on your body.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
