I am curious to know does the potting mix from the bag need to be mixed with soil?
Hi @gore.
Potting mixes are generally fairly free draining and many consists of predominantly an un-composted bark. Whether you should add soil to the potting mix will depend on what you are using it for and what you plan to plant in it.
Where is the potting mix going and what do you plan on planting in it?

Hi i have a garden bed but i am addinng always potting mix and some cow compost and chicken on it.i feel there is no soil much!!
Does it cutoff in growing veggies fast by just adding potting mix or its ok what i am doing?
Thank you
Hi @gore.
You might find it best to purchase garden soil instead of potting mix. Generally, the soil is loamier and retains moisture better. It is still a good idea to add cow compost or chicken manure to the soil.
