Fliptop tool stand
So I’ve been running out of space in my garage/workshop so I built a couple of mobile stands to house our Ryobi tools.
Fliptop tool stand holds the belt/disc sander and the thicknesser.
Folding wing mitre table for my Ryobi Dual Bevel Mitre Saw.
Super happy with how they both work!

Re: fliptop tool stand
Welcome to the Bunnings workshop community @hazesnow. It's fantastic to have you join us and many thanks for sharing your project.
That's a super interesting way to house your machines, would you mind telling us more about how you created the flip-top mechanism. You've certainly got some fantastic woodworking skills, and I'm really impressed with the design you've come up.
I look forward to seeing your future projects and no doubt your knowledge will be a significant addition to the community. Many thanks for sharing and well done.

Re: fliptop tool stand
Thanks so much for your kind words.
It pivots on a piece of 20mm galvanised pipe housed between two side supports and locks in using eyebolts and hex head bolts!

Re: fliptop tool stand
Great idea!
Reminds me of the Elu/Black and Decker flip drop saw and table saw concept.
What's the weight of the Ryobi thicknesser?
I'm sure it's well secured. 😉

Re: Fliptop tool stand
Hello I am just getting started and I have just purchased this planner - I am a novice but I want to learn woodwork and get better at it. I would like to have a crack at making this table. Do you have a list of what I need so I can have a crack? I am thinking this should be my first project.
look forward to hearing from you.

Re: Fliptop tool stand
Great job!
I've just about finished my flip-top cart (different design, though) and am about to mount my thicknesser and sander. What troubles me is that the Ryobi sander seems to have only two holes for mounting - I'm guessing that they didn't anticipate people hanging them upside down! How have you mounted yours?
