Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @RickieMcIlroy. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about our cutting service.
What size sheet were you looking to have cut down into that size? If it were a 2440 x 1220mm 3mm MDF Panel Standard, that would involve almost 20 cuts. Each cut needs to have the measurement first worked out and then dialled into the machine. It would take substantial time to set the saw up and complete those cuts.
How many of these 400 x 333mm sections do you need?

Hi. What is the minimum cut dimension and blade kerf width for the panel saw at Seaford SA. I want to make some under bed storage boxes out of 12mm plywood with sides that are only 200mm high. Is this possible?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Dee82. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about our cutting service.
There is no minimum cut size as such, but there is a requirement that our team need to be able to safely secure the board whilst cutting it. If you are starting with a larger 2400 x 1200mm panel, then it should be possible to take 200mm wide strips off the board. However, if you wanted 200mm wide strips off a smaller board, this might not be possible as it can't be secured and cut safely. It's best to have a chat with one of our knowledgeable members at Bunnings Seaford store, and they'll let you know what cuts can be made safely.
Typically, saw blades have a 3mm kerf, but please remember that this is not a detailed cut service, and there can be a +/-5mm variance in the cuts.
Please let me know if you have further questions.

Can Bunnings cut Spotted Gum panels 1800 x 405 x 18?
I was told it was a safety risk.
Hello @adriaan
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. Thank you for joining the discussion.
I'm sorry but we are unable to cut the Spotted Gum panel on our saws. This is due to their 18mm thickness and laminated construction.
A possible option would be to cut the panel at home with a circular saw. This handy guide on getting to know your circular saw should give you ideas on how to accomplish it.
If you're unable to cut the panel at home, I recommend speaking with one of our team members at your local store's Special Orders Desk. The team can show you options regarding timber benchtops and order them in the size that you need.

Had been to New Lynn store recently. Pick up a bunch of decking wood. But they are all in various lengths, I have ask the staff to assist for cutting them, so they can fit my vehicle, but they say they don't do pre cuts. I know they do it before, but somehow they just don't do it anymore.
It will be great if the website can be updated as it is still showing "We Cut Timber" from the service available at New Lynn page.

Hi Eric,
Can Bunnings do a straight cut on Kaboodle Kitchen Benchtops (either laminate or timber) at a Bunnings Store? ie cut a 2400mm benchtop to 1980mm?
Hello @gabba
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. Thanks for joining the discussion.
Unfortunately, the shop saws use very large industrial blades that chip and ruin melamine surfaces. The saws are often used to cut down long timber pieces and panels so that they can be easily transported. They are not made to make precision cuts, I'm afraid they won't be able to cut the melamine or timber benchtop for you.
There is always the option of cutting the benchtop yourself. The advantage of doing it onsite is that you can precisely cut it to the size that you need. I suggest having a look at this guide - How to choose the right power saw for the job by @Adam_W.
One other way to get the size you need is to custom order the benchtop from the special orders desk. You can have it precisely at 1980mm whether it be the melamine or timber benchtop.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
