This rustic wine barrel table and cupboard is a great way to store wine glasses and fire pit supplies outdoors.
I made a wine barrel cupboard for the backyard so I can store wine glasses and supplies for the fire pit.
I used treated Pine fence palings to make it after pre-bending them. It took a week to bend four palings at a time.
The hinges are just gate hinges. I bent these to suit the angles of the timber.
I used black silicone in-between the boards as silicone is like a glue and good for bonding things together. I used Liquid Nails construction adhesive for the rest and then an Oak stain to finish.
I made the top and shelves from fence palings, all biscuit joined, and 3mm hardwood ply on the top like a veneer. Painted the inside and straps with black spray paint. The straps are held on with screws and screw caps to look like studs.
I was making it up as I went. Super happy with the way it turned out. I was able to pick up everything to make this from Bunnings.
Workshop member rgoyne created a wine barrel table by recycling hoops from a degraded wine barrel and fitting a Teak round panel on top.
