Narrow areas down the side of a house can be tricky to work with, but this makeover made the space both attractive and functional.
The project
Using all materials from Bunnings, Shane transformed the side of his sister's house. He built a thin deck leading to the back door with space for a table to enjoy the greenery-filled sideway.

Bunnings Workshop community manager Jason removed ugly cracked concrete and replaced it with a path featuring bluestone rounds, railway sleepers and a garden bed.
Updating the side of the house was a labour of love for community member Chaks_DIY who installed new planter boxes with seating, paving, edging, new planting and garden lighting.
Community member Nikkaz added paving and greenery to enliven the side of the house.
As part of a huge garden renovation project, member pete_brig also used a combination of decking and new planting.
Workshop member Yorky88 used new paving and river pebbles in this side access project.
