A rustic daybed cladded with recycled pallet timber.
The project
This rustic daybed was another one of my projects that I built with students at the school where I work. We had some waste building materials donated to the school and built this daybed completely from scrap wood. The base frame is built from 2 x 4m H3 treated Pine and then we cladded the outside using recycled pallets.
I work with at-risk youth and this was a fantastic way to be able to break down some barriers and have meaningful conversations with them. I've found that when the students are doing something hands on like this they open up so much.
