Recycled pallet timber was used to create this kids playhouse with hinged windows and a planter box.
I was given a whole pile of pallets, so I broke them down into a pile of timber and used it to create this playhouse for a friend's son. The little guy was very happy with his birthday present.
As these were recycled pallets from a business, there were some heavy duty ones in there, which meant that I could use the pallets for all the supports and flooring too. I found the corrugated iron for the roof too, so I only needed to buy a heap of screws, the hinges and a lock.
Resident Bunnings D.I.Y. expert Mitchell put together a step-by-step guide to building a fantastic cubby using recycled timber pallets. It has an additional shop and can be built over a few weekends for minimal cost. Follow the guide How to build a pallet cubby.
Workshop member Noah built this mud kitchen using Pine, fence palings, a benchtop and accessories, all for under $70.
