The project

I'm new to D.I.Y. and not afraid to have a go at some simple tasks, though I'm a bit limited due to physical health. I prepared my kitchen tiles for painting on the tiniest of budgets by using an electric sander to dull the gloss on the tiles.

It looks great! I’m about to do mine. I read you used laminate primer…why not tile or was it the laminate &tile primer that I’ve seen on the web site. Also, what paint did you use and was is satin? Sorry for all the questions 🤭

Let me tag @Trish2 to make them aware of your questions. When painting over tile it's important to use the recommended primer such as Dulux 1L Renovation Range Primer or White Knight 1L Renew Tile And Laminate Primer Paint. Failure to apply the primer will result in poor paint adhesion and early deterioration of the tile paint.

@EricL yeah I know that you need a primer. I was wondering why she chose that one …and the top coat if it was satin? Now that you’re replying to me Eric, why haven’t they made a primer and topcoat in one for TILES?
