Fresh, white cabinetry gives this kitchen a clean, contemporary look.
I built the kitchen carcass using an Irwin 80-tooth blade to cut clean edges as a normal blade will chip the Melamine.
The secret with Melamine is to score-cut your lines and then make the final cut. I screwed it all together with Melamine stickers to cover the screws. All the materials, including hinges and draw slides, are available at Bunnings.
The raised-panel doors are MDF. I cut them in five pieces using a frame method and using sash clamps to glue them together. The routering was done on a router table with a featherboard. You can also use a hand-held router.
The doors are painted in auto acrylic, first with etch primer and then in gloss white, followed by a clear coat.
