A custom desk created using Flexi Storage Clever Cubes and a Specrite timber panel.
Custom built desk using Flexi Storage Clever Cubes, storage units and Specrite timber panels.
I assembled all six Flexi Storage cubes. I then cut one of the timber panels to make it 450mm x 2200mm. I used the offcut from this panel (approx 145mm x 2200mm) as a back support for the bottom bench top. I used the stud finder to attach the board to the studs.
I varnished the top and bottom timber panels with three coats of Cabot's timber varnish. Next I attached two Flexi Storage units to the bottom timber panel, and then attached the panel to the backboard.

Good Afternoon @chaau
How sleek does that new desk setting look! Nice idea and very nice build.
In particular nice way of using the offcut of the Specrite timber panel for the supporting strip along the wall!
Any idea of a rough cost of the project?
Dave
Loving the cat hidy hole
Sorry @Dave-1 ,missed your message. The costs are:
2 panels @ $218
6 flexi cubes @ $276
Water based varnish @ $37
Ikea lighting kit @ $135
Flexi inserts are also from Ikea. Surprisingly they are interchangeable with Flexi Cubes. I had two drawer inserts and two door inserts. They cost me $110.
The total cost $776
